Last updated: 2026-07-26

This Privacy Policy explains how Lingtu AI collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you use our website, merchant dashboard, customer intake links, AI brief collection tools, file upload features, billing features, and related services. It also explains choices and rights that may apply to you depending on your location.

1. Scope of This Policy

This policy applies to information processed by Lingtu AI when merchants, team members, clients, or visitors use our website, dashboard, customer intake pages, support channels, and related services. It does not apply to third-party websites, payment processors, AI providers, or other services that have their own privacy policies, except where we process information through them on your behalf.

2. Information You Provide

We may collect account details such as name, email address, shop name, phone number, business information, login credentials, billing information, support messages, order notes, customer names, customer contact details, project descriptions, brand requirements, design preferences, uploaded files, logos, reference images, QR codes, and other materials submitted through the service.

3. Information from Customer Intake Links

When a merchant shares a Lingtu AI intake link with a client, we may collect the client responses, uploaded materials, contact details, project requirements, messages, and interaction data. The merchant is responsible for explaining why the information is being collected and ensuring the client has permission to submit any materials or personal information included in the intake flow.

4. Usage, Device, and Log Data

We may automatically collect technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, actions taken, timestamps, error logs, authentication events, approximate location derived from IP address, and performance data. This information helps us operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep users signed in, remember preferences, protect accounts, measure usage, debug errors, and improve performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling necessary cookies may prevent parts of the service from working correctly.

6. How We Use Information

We use information to provide the service, create and manage accounts, authenticate users, generate intake links, process client responses, summarize briefs, operate AI features, store files, manage billing and credits, provide support, send service notices, prevent fraud and abuse, maintain security, analyze performance, improve features, and comply with legal obligations.

7. AI Processing

Content submitted to AI features may be processed to generate questions, summaries, prompts, classifications, or suggestions. We may send relevant inputs to AI infrastructure providers to deliver those features. Do not submit highly sensitive information unless it is necessary for your workflow and you have the right and consent to do so. AI output should be reviewed before use.

8. Legal Bases Where Applicable

Where privacy laws require a legal basis, we may process information to perform a contract with you, pursue legitimate business interests, comply with legal obligations, protect vital interests, or based on consent where required. Merchants are responsible for identifying their own legal basis for collecting and processing client information through intake links.

9. How We Share Information

We may share information with service providers that help us host data, run databases, process payments, deliver emails, provide AI functionality, analyze usage, secure accounts, and support users. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights or safety, to investigate abuse, in connection with a business transfer, or with your direction or consent.

10. Payment Information

Payment details may be handled by third-party payment providers. Lingtu AI may receive limited billing information such as plan status, transaction identifiers, payment amount, currency, billing dates, and payment status, but we do not need to store complete card numbers when payments are processed by a third-party provider.

11. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain account records, support billing and tax requirements, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, improve security, and comply with law. Retention periods may vary by data type. We may delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed, subject to backups and legal obligations.

12. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for using strong credentials, limiting team access, and notifying us if you believe your account or client data has been compromised.

13. International Processing

Information may be processed and stored in countries or regions other than where you or your clients are located. These locations may have different data protection laws. Where required, merchants are responsible for ensuring that cross-border processing of client information is permitted for their use case.

14. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or withdrawal of consent. To make a request, contact support@lingtu.io. We may need to verify your identity and may retain certain information where allowed or required by law.

15. Merchant and Client Requests

If you are a client who submitted information through a merchant intake link, the merchant may be the primary party responsible for your project data. We may direct certain requests to the merchant when appropriate. Merchants should respond to lawful client requests and delete or export client materials when required by their own policies or applicable law.

16. Children

Lingtu AI is intended for business and professional use and is not directed to children. You may not knowingly submit personal information from children unless you have lawful authority and all required consents. If you believe child information was submitted improperly, contact support@lingtu.io.

17. Marketing and Service Communications

We may send service-related messages such as login notices, billing alerts, security notifications, product updates, and support responses. Where marketing communications are offered, you may opt out as described in the message. You may still receive essential transactional or security communications.

18. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised date or made available through the service. Continued use after an update means the updated policy applies to future processing.

19. Contact

For privacy questions, account requests, or data protection concerns, contact support@lingtu.io.
